Does UKKI buy my car?

No. UKKI is not a dealer and never takes ownership of your car. You sell directly to a buyer — someone you already know, or a verified buyer who finds your listing — and UKKI runs the checks, the paperwork and the payment in between. The price is agreed between the two of you.

Who holds the money?

UKKI does. The buyer transfers the agreed amount to a UKKI account, and we confirm it has arrived before the car moves. The seller is paid once the handover is complete and ownership has transferred — so the buyer is never paying a stranger in advance, and the seller is never handing over keys on a promise.

What does UKKI charge?

Accepted Answer

A 1% success fee from the buyer and 1% from the seller, charged only when a deal closes. There is no listing fee and no subscription. Optional extras — delivery, warranty, insurance — are priced separately and shown before you choose them.

I already have a buyer. Can I just use UKKI for the transaction?

Yes, and it is one of the two ways to sell here. Send a private invite tied to your buyer’s phone number and the car is never publicly listed. You still get the identity checks, the sale agreement, Form 29/30, the RC transfer and the payment protection.

How is the car inspected?

Either you record a guided 360° walk-around yourself, or UKKI sends an inspector to you for a 200+ point check. Either way the report is vetted by UKKI before the car can go live — an unvetted car is never shown to buyers.

My car has a loan on it. Can I still sell?

Yes. UKKI coordinates the loan foreclosure with your lender as part of the deal: the outstanding amount is settled from the sale proceeds, the hypothecation is removed from the RC, and you receive the balance. You do not need to clear the loan first.

Can I sell my car to someone I already know?

Yes. Send them a private invite tied to their phone number. The car is never publicly listed and only they can open the link — but you still get the identity checks, the agreement, the RC transfer and the payment protection.

Once the handover is complete and the buyer has accepted the car. UKKI holds the buyer’s money from the moment it arrives, so by the time you hand over the keys the funds are already confirmed — the payout is then released to your verified bank account.

Form 29 and Form 30 are signed digitally with Aadhaar eSign, UKKI files the transfer with the RTO and tracks it through Parivahan. Your liability for the car ends on the handover date, not when the paperwork finishes.
